Clicker-Inspired Poetry
from Radha dasi
Sat-sanga das and I each wrote a spur-of-the-moment poem inspired by these talks of the use of the clicker and thought we'd share them. Sort of an ode to the clicker if you will, as Sat-sanga das put it :)
By Sat-sanga das
Click, click, click my japa goes
How many rounds? I will know
And see the numbers in the little window
When I pull my hand out of the mala bag
Being careful not to get it snagged
Better be quick or I'll get tagged
If big Bhakta Prabhu or Goswami sees
I'll become the object of their tease
In the rain and the mud it has kept me sane
Let me know my count of the holy name
I will let the others ponder and bicker
I know the bliss of chanting on my clicker
By Radha dasi
You've gotta run with the feeling in the heart,
Go ahead, set yourself apart.
If it's criticism they give,
Ignore it, it's your life to live.
Using japa beads or the clicker doesn't matter,
You're inevitably still climbing the ladder.
You're headed for that eternal abode,
Letting go of the material load.
When the inevitable end is near,
Truthfully, you'll have nothing to fear.
At that point it will not matter anymore,
You will have entered that eternal door.
In the end it's all about your actions and deeds,
Not whether or not you used the beads.
