To get the real higher taste it is best to use organic ingredients when making prasadam.
Organic food is now more readily available in food stores and the cost is much less than before, as the supermarkets try to win the price war. You will find most superstores now have a separate organic section and there are a few health food stores that sell only organic food from all over the world.
All ISKCON Temples all over the world should try to use as many organic ingredients as possible for prasadam.
In my opinion, all ISKCON temples should use only organic ingredients when preparing Maha Prasadam (the best prasadam in the world) as only the very best should be offered to Lord Sri Krishna the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
All deity kitchens should only stock and use organic food and drinks.
If you want the higher taste, organic is the best.
