Devotees Needed in Reno, USA

Throughout my childhood and young adulthood, I have tried to search out people who understood God. Seeing as how I have always lived in Reno, I really have not had much variety in the way of spiritual mentors and friends that could understand or even accept Krishna Consciousness. Many of the spiritual practices here are either based on Mayavada philosophy or Neo-Christianity. The Catholic Church has been the closest devotional practice that I can relate to here. This has been a burden for me for years now.

Krishna is my lord, He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead, but His name and pastimes are rarely known to this town. My mother, however, was and still is my main association with Krishna. Since my sister and brother and I were very young, my mother would take us to the Ratha-Yatras in Los Angeles and San Francisco and Berkeley, and I plan on visiting these temples as much as I can, but there has always been a need for devotees in Reno. I feel enthusiastic and I know that it is possible.

A goal is to distribute books at this point, but I have a problem: I need advice on how to start. If anyone has any ideas or possibly lives in the area of Reno, Nevada, please write to me:
