Gaura Purnima in Vrndavana
From Mahaman Das
[from Free forum]
Dear Maharajas, Prabhus, and Matajis,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
Even though in Vrindavan, the Kartik Festival has become more prominent and much bigger than the Gaur Purnima Festival in the last few years, with over three thousand devotees participating, the Vrindavan management is making special arrangements to make this year's festival a memorable one.
As in recent years there will be no festival fees, but devotees should pay for accomodations and prasadam. Some of the highlights will be parikramas, free seminars, durlabh satsang, and the Boat Festival.
The dates of the festival are as follows:
|
28 March, Thursday |
Gaur Purnima |
|
29 March, Friday |
Jagannath Misra Feast |
|
30 March, Saturday |
Devotees Depart from Mayapur |
|
31 March, Sunday |
Devotees arrive in Vrindavan |
|
01 April, Monday |
Vrindavan Festival begins |
|
06 April, Saturday |
Boat Festival |
|
07 April, Sunday |
Last day of festival |
Thanking you.
Your servant,
Mahaman Das
