Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
As a second-generation devotee, I cannot feel that much for the departure of Srila Prabhupada. From the beginning, he is transcendental for me, in the spiritual world. However, when I got the news of His Holiness Tamal Krishna Goswami Maharaj going, for me it was as if Srila Prabhupada had left the planet. That is how much Tamal Krishna Goswami is associated with Srila Prabhupada for me, although I have never personally met him.
But he is almost everywhere present in biographies of Srila Prabhupada. "Right hand" as His Holiness Hrdayananda Goswami has called him. So he is: serving Srila Prabhupada from the very beginning, preaching the mission of Srila Prabhupada, writing books about Srila Prabhupada and even preparing a dissertation about his beloved spiritual master. And so was his departure— as if Srila Prabhupada had rung the bell suddenly.
This made me serious about listening attentively to those true followers of Srila Prabhupada that are still present.
