A Short
Remembrance of Tamal Krishna Goswami By Kripanidhi das
It was August 1973, and I was a young brahmacari on travelling sankirtana with Ganapati and Dharmatma. We were all young and new to Krishna consciousness. Our party had arrived in New Vrindavana for the Janmasthami and Srila Prabhupada's Appearance day Celebration. Tamal Krishna Maharaja and Vishnujana Maharaja were giving discourse on Srila Visvanatha Chakravarti's prayers to the Spiritual Master. Tamal Krishna Maharaja would take one verse and then Vishnujana Maharaja the next. Tamal Krishna Maharaja's realization and sincerity was so moving that it touched my heart and instilled within me a determination to go on distributing Srila Prabhupada's books for many years to come. Even now, so many years later, this event remains crystal clear in my mind. Thank you, my dear senior Godbrother, for your inspiration. All glories to your wonderful service at Srila Prabhupada's lotus feet. Your servant, © CHAKRA 24 March 2002 |
