Safe
Driving By Rina
Hare Krsna! Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. I just want to express my appreciation of His Holiness Danavir Goswami's article about safe driving for devotees. I personally have been in several cars when devotees are driving, and sometimes I am hanging on for dear life as they weave in and out of traffic, narrowly missing cars parked on the road. It's not fun. When I was learning to drive, I was taught that the sign of a good driver is that he/she makes all the other people in the car feel safe. This means that he/she would follow all the road rules, especially the ones about speed and distances between the car and other cars, and pedestrians. One prabhu actually told me that car rental agencies won't rent cars to devotees (if you make it known that you're a devotee) because of our reputation for being crazy drivers. Can you believe it!
