Please accept my humble obeisances. All Glory to Srila Prabhupada.
Although RVC may be a wonderful institution to learn about Krsna, sadly
the "degree" awarded at the end of the period of study would
never be recognised in any UK academic institution. I teach Religious
Education to students ranging from the ages of 11-18. In order to do this,
I completed a 3-year degree in Theology and Religious Studies and then had
to complete a further year in Post Graduate Certificate of Education.
In order to achieve the latter, my degree had to be from an accredited
university. The university has to be listed as such. Sad to say, RVC is
not, so had I studied there I could not have completed my Post Graduate
Certificate.
I have now completed my Masters and am proceeding to my PhD, and none of
this would be possible without an accredited degree.
None of the above about me is said to glorify me. In myself, I am nothing.
All of the above regarding my qualifications is said just to emphasize
that non-accredited degrees look good on paper but in this so called
"real world" are worthless. Sad to say this, but in the UK and
in "academic terms" the RVC "degree" would be treated
the same as the "degree" one can purchase off of the internet
for a few hundred dollars.
I am not decrying the value of the courses. I am sure they are of the
highest calibre when it comes to academia yet worthless when transferred
to paper at the end of it all.
