Malaga Ratha Yatra
By Hema Gauri Dasi
Dear devotees,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Shrila Prabhupada.
We have the great pleasure of announcing the upcoming Rath yatra in Malaga (on the southern coast of Spain) which will take place on Saturday the 17th of August 2002 from 12.30 p.m. onwards.
Malaga is a well-known and popular holiday spot for tourists coming especially from England, Germany, and other European countries. The local government authorities organize various festivals and cultural programs to attract tourism in the summer months. Taking advantage of this festive mood, we have been fortunate to get the permission to celebrate our Ratha yatra festival to preach the holy names of Lord Chaitanya and the glories of Lord Jagannatha, Baladeva, and Subhadra.
Our local temple is like a small preaching center. It does not have much facility for accommodations, but we have lots of open garden area where you can put up your tents and sleep in your sleeping bags.
The second option is to get in touch with your local travel agent for a combined price of ticket and accommodations. (You will have to do this well in advance as the flights are very full in this month).
A three-meal course of prasadam will be served at the temple for a mere fee of only six euros per day.
We are expecting His Holiness Bhakti Caru Swami, H.G. Shyamlal prabhu from South Africa, H.G. Jagat Caksur prabhu from South America, and many other wonderful devotees from all over the world.
Please let us know of your individual necessities by 30th July so we can make the proper arrangements.
Your humble servant,
Hema Gauri Dasi
