There have been very serious allegations of spousal abuse and behavior not befitting a devotee on the part of Maha Mantra Dasa. His wife has made these accusations.

Taking into account the seriousness of these accusations Maha Mantra Dasa should not be allowed to preach or represent ISKCON in the official ISKCON Center of Vancouver. This includes giving class, leading kirtan etc: The only legally registered ISKCON center in this area of Canada is Vancouver. Any other places where the teachings of Srila Prabhupada are being promulgated are not official ISKCON centers and thus not under GBC jurisdiction. If these allegations are found to be totally or even partially true then these restrictions will remain. If the allegations are completely untrue then the restrictions may be rescinded.

I strongly suggest whenever criminal behavior is suspected of anyone it should be reported to competent Canadian legal authorities.
