The latest edition of HKW, at the printer today, features exciting news about the Hare Krishna movement, including:

Mukunda Goswami (founder of ISKCON Communications): "In 1970 Srila Prabhupada asked his followers to print a daily newspaper -- half Hare Krishna events, and the other half news of the world, laced with ISKCON analysis and commentary."

Far from being a daily, HKW has been publishing fewer issues in recent years. That hasn't stopped us from making improvements, however. Readers have been praising the paper's switch to full color and innovative design. Over 100 correspondents around the world give us a unique view of our movement's development. Plus, where else can advertisers reach our far flung devotee audience? Not many places.

The challenge to boost Hare Krishna World's publication schedule is similar to challenges many projects face these days. For this international news publishing office, capital funding and the need for increased usage especially cries out for attention.

The one piece of advice we have received from all our advisors is to expand circulation.

Our goal is to mail HKW to 20,000 more people this year, but we need help to achieve this.

It costs roughly $1.40 to print and mail each person a copy. That means we need $28,000 to reach our goal.

I know it sounds like a lot, but with your help we can do it.

More than ever, temples need help in connecting with their congregations. By helping us deliver HKW to their members, you can do your part to strengthen our movement, keeping people informed and enthused to serve Krishna.
