Mahabharata - Actors Wanted

"Mahabharata" is being revived. Seeking one or two actors, age: 20-40 for the two-man play that was first performed and adapted in 1987 by Sankirtana Dasa and Lokamangala (video is available). Play is a mesmerizing and powerfully adapted 2-hour piece.

Actor must be familiar with the classics, Shakespeare etc. Be committed to one full year or more and several months’ rehearsal period. Each actor will portray several characters.

Knowledge of stage combat would be helpful. Play will perform indefinitely at a mid-west venue as well as eventually touring colleges and as a summer "theater in the park" concept.

Only a devotee who is serious, experienced and committed will be considered.

Performances will begin in spring-summer 2001.

Also will be seeking a female age: 20-35 for an ambitious, future adaptation of a three-person "Srimad-Bhagavatam" production with all the above requirements.
