Vancouver to Hold Rathayatra Today

CHAKRA (Vancouver, Canada) - August 12,
2000: ISKCON Vancouver will celebrate Rathayatra today, 12 August 2000.
Ratha Yatra and Festival of
India will take place on Saturday and Sunday with festival on both days.
The Rathayatra parade itself will take place on Sunday starting at 11:30
A.M. starting at sunset beach and going along Beach Ave. to the festival
site at Second Beach. see

Janmastami will be held on
Tuesday August 22 all day with main festival festivities accelerating in
the evening. Some of the special features will include Radha Madana Gopal
Swan boat ride, Midnight Arati, special out door stage with cultural
performances, including drama, dances, bhajans, continuous feasting in the
big prasadam tent, cultural exhibits, children's activities and much much

Srila Prahbupada's Vyasapuja
Appearance Day celebrations will take place on Wednesday August 23
starting at 10:30 A.M. Highlights will feature homage's from senior
devotees, Gurupuja, Puspanjali (offering of flowers), lots of kirtan
and wonderful feast.
