PAMHO.NET Offline Unexpectedly from Friday 18:00 until Sunday

Dear PAMHO users,

I'm hoping to reach you through CHAKRA with the following message.

This evening at 20:30 I noticed the server wasn't reachable, so I called up my ISP, GlobeCom, and they said their network has been disconnected at 18:00 by the company who owns the fiber-optical cables. A large section is now being upgraded. They had not cared to inform GlobeCom about it in time, they informed them only at 3:00 this afternoon. GlobeCom in turn could not reach me because I was out of office.

So I am very sorry for the inconvenience, but PAMHO.NET will be offline till sometime Sunday morning. Even direct phone calls to the server don't work, because the phone lines run through the same optical cable (they are ISDN).

I am hoping to set up a backup server at another physical location at one point in time, which takes over when the main server goes down, so that such situations can be avoided.
