Mayapur Gaura Purnima Festival Schedule

First of all, a special note should be made to inform you regarding the abolition of a compulsory festival fee.

Although over the years we have been trying to decrease the festival fee to a minimum (and, in fact, during the past year 2000 Festival we incurred in a loss of 400.000 Rs.) the Mayapur Administrative Council (MAC) and the Festival Committee members, are concerned regarding the bad feeling that devotees may experience by being charged a fee when they come to visit Mayapur. Although such fee has been necessary (and sometimes not even sufficient) to cover the general expenses that the Festival brings about, it actually may sometimes create a bad mood between devotee-visitor and devotee-residents. If instead devotees will not be charged any fee, it would be easier for them to feel at home, as it should be. Next festival, therefore, there will be no festival fee, but rather an optional donation that one may give, as for his own wish, for helping to cover the huge overall festival expenses.

Please take note, however, that room and Prasadam cost should be paid.

- Accommodation - Please note that all the prices below refer to the price of the room per day, and not price for each person, as it used to be before. Note also that "a/b" means room with private bath, and "c/b" means room without bath.

Nityananda Kutir - 60 Rs/day (2 to 4 persons)

The price of other types of cheaper "Class C" rooms, which will be made available during the festival, cannot be summarized here, since each room differs from the others in size and quality.

- Prasadam - Festival Prasadam (average prices, may be adjusted later) - Breakfast: 25 Rs. Lunch: 40 Rs. Devotees Prasadam (new kitchen) - Breakfast and Lunch: 15 Rs. Sulobh Bhojanalay: (old kitchen) - Lunch: 12 Rs. Restaurants and food-stalls will fix their own prices independently.

- Navadvip Mandala Parikrama - Full Parikrama (7 days): 35 US$, which include the parikrama, the programs, prasadam and accommodation.

*** Seminars - Stage Programs ***

A full team of senior and experienced devotees is working full time to organize wonderful pandals, stages and many other programs, which will be staged both during the seminar's week and during the last portion of the Festival, after Parikrama. On a later occasion, as the schedule will be ready, we may write you again to inform everybody about the same more in detail.
