Straw Votes To Begin Today

CHAKRA (Mayapur, India) - February 11, 2001: The subcommittees continued to meet yesterday to finalize their analysis of the proposals before the GBC Body. Today the subcommittee facilitators will present their findings at the GBC plenary session.

GBC members will hold straw votes on the proposals. Straw votes do not count, but give an indication to the subcommittees how the proposals are going so that additional refining and work can go into the proposals before submitting it for final vote.

Straw voting will continue today and tomorrow.

Tomorrow is also the Appearance day of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura and the Disappearance day of Gour Govinda Swami
