Members Cook and Serve Prasadam CHAKRA
(Mayapur, India) - February 14, 2001: While the ISKCON Managers Meeting
was underway this morning GBC members were busy cooking prasadam. At lunch
time the temple presidents, GBC Deputies and Gurukulis sat down, while the
GBC members served prasadam to them.
In
a mood of establishing bonding and cooperation, GBC Chairman Ravindra
Svarupa Prabhu organized the GBC schedule this year to allow time for the
GBC members to cook for the Gurukulis and others.
Throughout
the meetings the Gurukulis have been cooking and serving prasadam to the
GBC members and guests. Today the tables are turned and the GBC members
cooked and served prasadam.
The
mood was pleasant and happy, and the prasadam was pretty good too. Meanwhile,
ISKCON temple presidents from around the world met at their annual IMM
(ISKCON Managers Meeting). They voiced strong objection to a proposal
before the GBC to change how the IMM is organized. Their feedback will go
to the committee members who are considering the results of the straw
votes. © CHAKRA 14 February 2001 Go to the GBC Page |
