Hari
Sauri Asks Syamasundara to be Minister of Jyotish CHAKRA
(Mayapur, India) - March 10, 2001: Hari Sauri dasa has decided to retire
as the ISKCON Minister of Jyotish (astrology) and put astrologer
Syamasudara Prabhu as Interim Minister pending confirmation at next year's
GBC meeting. It was a post that Hari Sauri held for many years but claims
he didn't do much with. "Syamasundara
is perhaps our most qualified astrologer and is highly learned in the
science," says Hari Sauri. "I feel someone with his expertise
and know how is needed in order to get the Ministry working
properly." Hari
Sauri says that he is confident he can do this particular service for the
Society effectively and advantageously due to his having studied and
practiced for 20 years. As
Chakra's readers may remember, Syamasundara was also the organizer of the
infamous GHQ conference, and his negative views on women is well
known." © CHAKRA 12 March 2001 Go to the Other News Page |
