Pujaris and Cook Wanted in Almvik, Sweden

Dear devotees,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

In within a few months our present pujaris and a cook will be leaving Almvik to their new services and we are searching for devotees who would be interested in taking their present services here.

We are in a need of three devotees, one of them a cook that would be cooking about five days a week for about 20-30 people, including our gurukulis. It would require 5 lunch cooking and a few days of breakfast cooking.

Cook and the pujaris would need to be second initiated.

It is also fine if devotees want to share cooking and pujari service and not concentrate only on one of it.

Service for pujaris demands about seven hours of work per day, with one day free or less service a week. Present standard here is mangal arotik, bathing, dressing, naivedya, darsan, breakfast offering, arotik, lunch offering, arotik, evening offering, arotik and putting Deities to rest.

As far as my eight years of experience may say, there is nothing that can be compared with serving Panca Tattva. Anybody wishing a nice service in Deity worship is very welcome to try it. Of course, troubles are always there, but with Their mercy you may be surprised how they will turn out.

In exchange for your service the village of Almvik is offering a place to stay with facilities of separate room for single people, or small apartment for grhasta couple (in which case it would be nice if they can both be engaged in the Deity worship to be maintained fully for it) with shared bathroom. Prasadam and few other basic costs of living in the place are covered too. For the rest of the personal expenses, such as clothes, extra bhoga or small trips expenses, we will come to an agreement with you when you contact us, so you can be provided for your needs.

Almvik is a peaceful village in a rural setting and it is much different from lively city centers, but it has a lot of charms of it’s own. It can be cold in the winter but there are plenty of heaters around.
