Boise Idaho (USA) Celebrates Janmashtami

In celebration of 15th anniversary of the temple, the devotees and members of New Biharvan Boise, Idaho, USA made an offering of 10, 001 flowers to Sri Sri Radha Bankebihari on Janmashtami day. About 50 members devoted hundreds of hours in planning, stringing and installing all the flowers on the altar and surrounding walls. When the curtains opened at 6:30 PM, to the words of Govindam Adi Purusham, the beauty and splendour of the Deities left an overflowing crowd of 250 in the small temple room speechless. A photo is included (in the attached file), however. no photo could do justice.

The front page of Idaho's largest newspaper, The Idaho Statesman had an enchanting photo of devotee child Shatakshi , with the headline "In Honor Of Krishna. " The photo caption led the readers to the full story in the Local section of the paper which was titled "Thousands of Flowers Honor Lord Krishna. " The article was accompanied by a color picture of the Deities in Their House of Flowers. The article attracted the attention of many as the temple had a constant stream of visitors on Srila Prabhupada's Vyasa Puja day. Who were given books and prasadam. News Channel 12 also covered the event with a feature story.
