Keep the
Faith by Krsna das It’s very interesting that as devotees and followers of our beloved Jagat-Guru Srila Prabhupada, some people would suggest that he is "incorrect and perfect" at the same time. Someone also suggested that we can know about spiritual matters from him while looking for the answer to "the size of a woman’s brain" from others. True enough, as His Holiness Umapati Maharaja said, he might never asked Srila Prabhupad how to run a computer, but we have faith that Srila Prabhupad knew what is mentioned in the scriptures. As I read the articles concerned, it seems quite a few have taken up the idea of this dangerous concept. It’s true that we shouldn’t follow blindly, but when you think you know more about something than your guru, it will put you in great trouble. Caitanya Mahaprabhu did not say, "Always remain a fool, but only on spiritual matters." I was also very suprised to see that these devotees who are having the discussion with Maharaja have such a lack of etiquette, without any proper respect for the senior. Do they deal with their own gurus in the same way? You can surely have your own opinion, but when you are dealing with a senior, how can you act in such a way, completely against our Vaisnava tradition and etiquette? So I am writing to express my thanks to Umapati Maharaja for his teachings in the discussions. And I would also suggest that he write something on how to balance "blind following and real faith" so that those who cannot see it properly can get his guidance.
