All Glories To Bhakta George Harrison!

Dear Bhakta George Prabhu,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

I always thought that if I ever had the good fortune to meet you in person, I would like to bow down and offer my obeisances to you. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for saving and transforming my life by introducing me to our spiritual master, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

I, like millions of other youths, was a 60's Beatle fanatic. It was a transcendental trick of Krsna's, because anything that the Beatles wrote, played, produced, ate, or experimented with, I wanted to try too! They were my heroes. When you started experimenting with Vedic music, I immediately got into that. And as many of Srila Prabhupada's followers have attested, when "My Sweet Lord" hit the charts, we all began to chant the Hare Krsna mantra, and began our first steps, back home, back to Godhead.

Every morning we are reminded with gratitude of your incredible service to Srila Prabhupada when we greet the Deities and listen to your beautiful music composition of the Brahma Samhita in which you play organ, and other instruments with Srimati Yamuna devi dasi and the other London devotees chanting.

When I heard you were ill in the hospital, I immediately wanted to go there to chant for you and render you any service I could in appreciation for what you did to me and millions of others.

A couple of months ago I came across a Life magazine exclusive on the Beatles, and when it was your page, you mentioned that "If there is a God, I want to know Him and see Him. Krsna consciousness and meditation is the way to achieve that."

Right up to the end, you demonstrated your dependence on Lord Krsna by not being concerned whether you were winning the popularity contest, and just kept preaching Krsna consciousness.

Srila Prabhupada will never forget you for all the wonderful service you continue to render for his Krsna consciousness movement, and neither will millions of devotees.
