I apologize... can Ravi? TITIKSA DEVI DASI |
Response to
Ravi By Titiksa devi dasi Hare Krishna. My name is Titiksa devi dasi. I am the
author of “Bhusaya
is right, Urmila is wrong.” I have just finished reading the
letter from Ravi that you have posted. I am well aware that he as well as everyone else in
Detroit temple knows who I am. I was very honest and forthcoming in my
description of myself and my family, because unlike some of those devotees
that I write about, I am honest about my life. After all, Krsna sees
everything. I would like to offer the apology that Ravi has
requested. I agree that it was wrong to use the words “shacking up” in
regards to his wife and Pratyatosha. I do not however apologize for
“slandering” his wife’s reputation. Not any more than he/they
apologize for slandering the brahmacari that they accused (falsely, in my
opinion) of “sexual abuse.” I cannot be responsible for his wife’s
reputation. Only for my actions. I am apologizing for speaking about his
wife in such an offensive way. Can Ravi and his wife also please apologize
for the many disturbances that MY children have had to suffer throughout
the past few months, by being woken up in the middle of the night, by
Ravi’s children who are “stressed out?” It no longer matters to me if you attach my name to
this article, as I have been harrassed since my last letter. © CHAKRA 29-Nov-2003 Go to the Letters Page |
