Having read Bhakti Caru Swami's heartfelt appeal, written so earnestly with such deep emotion, devotion and conviction, I am compelled to believe that no guilty man - regardless of the condition of his soul - could commit so heinous a crime and continue to lie about it before his God and and Godbrothers. |
Dearest Vaisnavas:
I am a karmi, most eager, yet unworthy, to
serve the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Sri Krishna, and the mission of
His eternal Divine Devotee, A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. I offer my
humble respects to all.
I write to convey how truly moved I am by Bhakti Caru
Swami’s appeal, as posted in CHAKRA (“Let
the Truth Prevail,” 03-Oct-1999) with regard to theories surrounding
the alleged poisoning of Srila Prabhupada. Having recently reacquainted myself
with ISKCON again after a nearly 22-year hiatus (coinciding with His Divine
Grace’s maha-samadhi in 1977), I am just now learning of these controversies
concerning zonal acharyism, ritvikism and the poisoning conspiracy that have so
sharply divided Lord Chaitanya’s transcendental movement. Until this article,
I have not known what to make of these concepts and allegations.
Having read Bhakti Caru Swami’s heartfelt appeal,
written so earnestly with such deep emotion, devotion and conviction, I am
compelled to believe that no guilty man---regardless of the condition of his
soul---could commit so heinous a crime and continue to lie about it before his
God and Godbrothers. Forget about the material construct of conscience, Karmic
law would not permit it.
I am certainly no judge, having neither the training
nor the authority. But upon the written strength of this one man’s appeal, I
must appeal to all: let this and every spurious and deviant theory rest, allow
ISKCON to heal itself and regroup, and let Srila Prabhupada peacefully continue
to fulfill God’s will from his eternal abode at the feet of Lord Krishna.
Respectfully yours,
Kenneth C. Rowe
