Dear CHAKRA: Please accept my humble obeisances. All Glories to Srila Prabhupada.

As a GBC man I have instructed the Delhi temple to follow the GBC laws. To the best of my knowledge they are, but it is quite possible that occasionally someone may forget to follow the law strictly. I have been very severe on this point with the devotees and if at all there ever is a lapse, it is not due to my fault, but due to the particular devotee forgetting the guideline. I do not think that an occasional lapse should be broadcasted all over the world without first verifying with the local temple authorities. I spoke to the head pujari of the Delhi temple again about this point and he confirmed that the pujaris are strictly following the guidelines. I am obviously not there all the time and I hope your agents are doing an honest job with no motivation. Devotees have also being told not to use buttons or use titles such as Bhagavatpada, Acaryapada, etc. in addressing myself or any other Gurus. Prabhupada’s Vyasa-puja was the deadline for these new guidelines to be enforced and I have made every attempt to get these guidelines understood by the devotees and congregation. Even if there has been a lapse in this area, I am sure it will get corrected, because we all want to follow the GBC guidelines. Sometimes it takes a little time for the Indian congregation to get used to the new standard.
