Looking
for Friends Dear Prabhus Hare Krsna. Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. My name is Vrndavanalila dasi, and my Guru-Maharaja recently left ISKCON. I use to be able to chant 16 rounds a day but am no longer able to do so. I would like to hear from devotees who have also lost their Guru-Maharaja and find out how they keep chanting 16 rounds a day. Thank you. Please send e-mail to violahow24@hotmail.com Thanks I'd like to thank all the devotees who so kindly send me help in regards to my letter. I am so grateful. Especially since I am a stranger to all these wonderful devotees and still they helped me out. There is no way I can sufficiently express my gratitude but I can only pray to achieve this quality also: to help those in need, whoever they are. I hope that one day I will be able to do something like that for others too. This help has meant so much to me. Thank you again. Your aspiring servant, [See "Help in Exchange for Work" Chakra 29 July 2002] Looking
for Vishwa Devi Dasi Dear Prabhuji/ Mataji, Hare Krishna! All Glories to Srila Prabhupad! I am Miss Archana Sharma from Bombay, daughter of Srinivas Acharya das (chief editor, ISKCON Juhu, Bombay). Looking
for Thakur Haridas dasa Please accept my most humble obeisances. Could you please help me look for a certain Thakur Haridas, formerly known as Tota Gopinath. His karmi name is Tom Kennedy. He showed me the way to Krishna consciousness, and Krishna in my heart is telling me to get in touch with him after 19 years. Otherwise I would not be thinking about him so much nowadays. Thank you very much in advance. Hare Krishna! Bhakta Ed Quesada Association
Needed I am a neophyte congregation devotee from Sri Sri Radha Gopinath Temple, and I am working in India as an AOL technician. However, I am trying to preach to Americans who come for help with AOL software. I have been successful in making an older woman into a devotee. She is 54 years old and lives in a small village in Montana. She is chanting and wants to meet a devotee, and we both have tried a lot to have her meet someone, but in vain. Asking
about Maureen Dear Devotees, I am writing to ask for any useful information on Maureen, who has cancer, and is supposed to be still in a coma from falling down some stairs, and her situation had gone from "bad to worse." She was at Sydney temple, I think. If anyone has any information could you please send it to this address : puddlesofwater@hotmail.com. Thankyou. Jai. [See "Please Pray for Maureen" Chakra June 23, 2002] Looking
for Devotees Dearest Devotees, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. I am new to Krishna consciousness and would like to learn more about becoming a devotee. My problem is that where I am living, I do not have much devotee association. Would anyone like to correspond with me? Help
in Exchange for Work Dear devotees, I'd like to appeal for your help. I have a 21-month-old son who had three operations on his ears in Feb/March. He has had a chronic ear infection since he was about ten months old. He had significant hearing loss, but things are resolved now. Medical insurance covered most of the expenses. Still, my percentage to pay adds up to four hundred Euros. I posted a letter to several com conferences a few months ago asking for help. Thanks to quite a few devotees, I'm halfway finished paying this off. Looking
for UK Devotees Hare Krishna I am trying to get in contact with either Ramnrsinga Prabhu or Samba das in the United Kingdom. If anyone has a contact e-mail address for them, I would sincerely appreciate it if you could forward the information to me at rupa@wol.co.za or any other contact numbers. Thank you. Your servant, Please

We would like to appeal to all devotees worldwide to please pray for the survival of Maureen, who is in a hospital in Sydney, Australia. She has suffered two brain injuries from a fall from a staircase and has been in a coma, but now her condition has gone from bad to worse. The doctors have given up, saying that only prayers can help, so we request all devotees to pray for her. Hari Bol! Hare Krsna! Your servant, Looking
for Vidyabadhu devi dasi I am trying to find the whereabouts of Vidyabadhu devi dasi who lived in Bury Place 1971 and later. My name is Phil Gardner. I was one of those early UK devotees but was never initiated by Prabhupada. Hari bol. Looking

Only Lord Krishna can save her; hence, I humbly request you all to pray for her. Haribol Rathnakumar Looking
for a Friend and a Service Dear Devotees, Hare Krishna. I am looking for a friend from my college who has presumably joined the Hare Krishna movement. His name is Kallol Chowdhury, from Bangladesh, a minority Hindu who was brought up with struggle and discrimation, like other minority people such as me. He was a brilliant student from the Bangladesh Marine Academy and went to sea but has gone missing after three /four years stay on board the vessel. I stay at Montreal, Canada. Please kindly help me to find some suitable position. I am presently staying in refugee status with my family in Montreal, having been through persecution of Hindus. I request all of our community to help me to find a suitable place or connection to serve and do my best service with Hare Krishna followers. Kindest regards Looking
for Disciples of Radhanath Swami Hare Krsna, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. I am trying to communicate with disciples of Radhanath Swami (especially from the Chowpatti nama hatta) with a view to receiving information and lecture material of Maharaj. I am South African, and I am not aware of any of his disciples here. I did meet a disciple (Krsna Caitanya das) a few years ago personally, who is also in the medical field, but was not able to communicate with him via e-mail. Missing
Person from Ireland [From Free Forum] Dear Devotees, I am the webmaster of a site for Missing Irish People at www.missing.ws I have just added the case of James William Thompson missing from Dublin since 8 March 1994 and who is from Cheltenham. Prior to his disappearance, he indicated that he may be joining the Hare Krishnas, and there were sightings of him in Dublin (unconfirmed) handing out Hare Krishna leaflets. I would be grateful if you could take the time to look at his page (www.missing.ws/james_w_thompson.htm) in the chance you might come across him. All his family want to know is that he is OK, and they respect totally his right to follow his path. Many thanks Looking
for Suzi O’Neil I am looking to re-connect with a devotee whose American name is Suzi O'Neil, and I do not know her spiritual name. Last I heard, she lives in California and is married to another devotee. Please email me her spiritual name, address, email address, phone number to rs7fap@idsi.net Hari Bol! Bhaktitantrananda Military
Devotees All glories to Srila Prabhupada! If there are any devotees who are in the military and want to correspond, I am offering my service. I have been the military for about two years. I chant 16 rounds a day, follow the four regulative principles, and participate in my local devotee community. I can also offer advice to devotees who preach to a lot of soldiers. Being a devotee is not easy, and it is impossible without support coming from somewhere. The military offers very specific challenges. I have found ways to express myself spiritually and maintain some sanity. So anyone who wishes to have my electronic association can reach me at theseed@harekrishnatemple.com. Hare Krishna! Bhakta Jearold Hersey (Hawaii) Looking for an Old Friend From Mary Udeh Hello, I have been searching to re-connect with my long-lost best friend from college who is a Krishna Devotee. During the late 1980's she was based in the ISKCON Washington DC chapter. Her previous name was Joy Irechukwu. She was born in Birmingham, England, but attended the University of Lagos with me in Lagos, Nigeria. The last time I was in contact with her, she met her future husband during a missionary trip to South America. The husband is from Ghana. Unfortunately, I do not know what her Hare Krishna name is, but I would really appreciate it if this message can be passed on to her because I have been searching for her these years. Thank you and Hare Krsna. Mary Udeh Looking for London Devotees By Sailendriya dasi Haribol, All glories to his Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada! I am a disciple of His Divine Grace who has long lost the association of devotees. I read Chakra and was amazed to see devotees I knew from Bury Place and Europe writing articles. I have such fond memories of my godbrothers and sisters and wish I knew where everyone was. When I was in London, Lilashakti Devi Dasi was pujari, and she trained me. Also, Ramadevi and Nabhasvati dd's. Does anyone know where I might find them? My name is Sailendriya devi dasi. My email address is Thank you. Your servant, Looking for Devotees in Beawar by Ghanshyam das Dear Prabhuji/Mataji, Hare Krishna. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. I have been in Kampala, Uganda, and have been registered as a life member. Now I am settled in India, in a place called Beawar, Rajasthan. Do we have some devotees in this place? How can I have a small center in Beawar? Looking for Vilasi Devi Dasi by Theresa Ryan Dear Prabhus, All glories to Srila Prabhupada! All glories to the Vaishnava devotees of the Lord! Please help me find a devotee that I have offended by calling (karmi) names. After listening to lectures by pure devotees on the Internet, I now know why I am suffering so much. By offending a pure devotee one forfeits the mercy of Krsna, until one obtains the mercy of the pure devotee. Please help me find Vilasi devi dasi, originally from the Maryland, Washington D.C. temple. Sincerely, Devotee Looking for His Father from Praharana devi dasi A young devotee from India has been writing asking for help in locating his father. The father, Bilvamangala das, returned from India in 1982 and has not been seen since. The young man, Varun Anderson, is very anxious to find his father, and we are trying to help. Chloe's Home! by Madhumati dd Good news! Bhaktin Chloe has left the hospital! She still has many days and months of recovery and recuperation time: daily physio and occupational therapy. But it looks like her kidneys are beginning to function and she hasn't had to have dialysis for a week now. They say it will take one full year before she's back to where she was just prior to her illness. She can only walk with a walker, and even 50 feet of walking in such a way is a miracle for her. She'll be provided with a wheelchair, so I'm hoping to take her for nice long walks when I go to visit. Even holding the phone when she talks to me is very tiring for her. She's had to learn to dress herself, brush her teeth— all those simple daily things that we all take for granted. Dhruva Finally Resurfaces by Dharmatma dasa and Dvijapriya dasi By Krsna's incredible mercy, Dhruva has re-appeared from the most remote jungles of India, alive and well, though a bit puzzled over all the fuss. As parents, we strongly chastised him for not keeping in contact, thus causing worry to us and his many devotee friends and well-wishers all over the world. Relieved beyond belief, we talked on the phone, and he recounted with excitement his adventures in pursuit of his quest to find 108 Nrsimha temples. Dhruva Dasa Missing by Dharmatma das and Dvijapriya dasi Our son Dhruva has not been heard from for over three weeks. He missed a rendezvous with his brother Drdha in Mamallapuram, near Chennai. He has not phoned or emailed nor checked his mail. This is highly unusual as he was very responsible to stay in touch with us. He has been traveling in India for the last year gathering information for a book he planned to write entitled 108 Temples of Lord Narasimha. He was in Ahobalam with a devotee from England named Bhakta Daniel until the 26th of December and has not been heard from since. My Miraculous Chloe by Madhumati devi dasi I haven't been updating you all about Chloe because they banned me from phoning the hospital! I guess too many of us were phoning about her & driving the ICU people crazy. But, I called anyway, and I'm happy I did. Chloe is moving out of ICU [intensive care unit] today! Into a regular room! She's recovering from the pneumonia. She's been sitting up. She drank mango lassi last night. And today—ta da—she ate spaghettios! (Vegetarian) Turns out it was only two bites, but hey, the kid's eating, and that's a miracle. Update on Bhaktin Chloe, Jan 4, 2002 by Madhumati devi dasi Chloe is very weak. Due to that heavy surgery she had, she now has pneumonia, and they're pumping her full of more antibiotics. She's still on dialysis but they did some surgical thing, and only do the dialysis every two days now. Emily said Chloe's a bit confused these days. Perhaps it's because she's so weak. Update on Bhaktin Chloe by Madhumati devi dasi [from Free Forum] Thank you for your prayers! Bhaktin Chloe has had her sedation reduced. They got her to cough and swallow, to establish that she has her gag reflex. Once that was established, they took her off the respirator! She's now awake and talking. Well, I think it's more like croaking so far because of her having had tubes down her throat. Bhaktin
Chloe Is Improving: Hey, everybody! I just talked to Bhaktin Chloe!! Isn't that just so great?! Where did I leave everyone last? I think her chest tubes came out. Yesterday they took Chloe off the ventilator. To do that, they had to reduce her pain meds and the sedation meds. They had to ensure that she had her gag reflex. I spoke to Emily today to check up on Chloe, and Chloe, who is very weak, can hardly speak, cannot even move her arms, demanded that her mother put her on the phone to me! And, the little brat (she says affectionately), after me telling her everyone's praying for her, had the audacity to ask me if I've been going to Mangal Arati! More
about Chloe I just got off the phone with Chloe's mom, Emily. Chloe had a heavy, heavy day yesterday and all of our prayers are still needed. I told Emily that I have been hearing from devotees around America, in England, Australia, and India. She's overwhelmed. Yesterday, Chloe's white blood cell count was up, indicating some infection. One tack they took was to take out her IV lines, etc, to ensure everthing was clean. As they went to put her IV back into her neck, someone nicked her aorta. Prayers
for Bhaktin Chloe Six days later we received a terrifying phone call: Bhaktin Chloe was in the hospital and almost dead. A nineteen-year-old girl at death's door? She had contracted meningitis. She was unable to breathe on her own, and was put on a ventilator. Her kidneys failed, and she was started on dialysis. Her blood pressure dropped drastically, so she was given a huge amount of fluids in order to help stabilize it. This caused her to balloon up with the fluids, so that she gained 30 pounds and was virtually unrecognizable even to her own mother. She was given massive amounts of antibiotics to fight the bacteria that were causing havoc in the lining around her brain and spinal cord. Because her blood is fighting the infection in her brain, her circulation to other parts of her body is not so strong, and three of her toes are showing the effects: She may lose those toes. Radha
Devi Dasi I am writing to ask for the prayers of all the Vaishnavas. My very close friend Radha Vrndavana Chandra has been in a severe car accident. Radha Vrndavana was born and raised in Krsna Consciousness. She was named after the Deities in New Vrndavana and her parents, Upendranatha and Shankari, are both initiated disciples of Srila Prabhupada. Radha Vrndavana attended the Gurukula in Los Angeles as a child. She met Srila Prabhupada on many occasions and was given cookies by him personally. Please
Help Dear Vaishnav! My name is Krishangi. I have distributed 7 years of the book Shrila Prabhupada and gave back all money in a Temple, not leaving for itself of any percent from the widespread books. However now I became very sick, therefore I can not more do it! So, now I live at home with the parents... I very much want to go to ours a Temple in Vrindavan to serve! But, I live on Ukraine, and you probably know, what bad situation here... Looking
for the American-Born Anyone who may know the current whereabouts of an American-born sannyasi by the name of Krsna Balarama Swami kindly email me his address or phone number. He is slight, not too tall and wears glasses. Long-Lost
Friend I have been looking for a friend who is a devotee, who I have lost contact with. She was a really lovely person and always a source of inspiration and also good company. Over the years I have moved many times, as I imagine she has. The last I heard she was living in a place called Collier Row near London, UK, and about to marry a devotee from her temple. Prahlad
Das Missing [reprinted from Free Forum] Prahlad Das, a Mauritian national, a.k.a. Mr Bissoonauth, disciple of H.H Navayogendra Swami, had left Mauritius for India for more than five years and had been staying in Uttampur temple. He has not been in communication with his parents for more than four years. Maithily
Devi Dasi Needs Help [reprinted from Free Forum] I personally know her as a great Vaisnavi, surely on her way Back to Godhead at the end of this life, by Srila Prabhupada’s mercy. His Divine Grace also knew her personally and appreciated her service. Now, like a number of Baby Boomers, she is feeling the affects of the "Silent Killer" Hepatitis C virus which she has had in her blood for over 30 years. |
