New Touch to Ancient Festival CHAKRA (New Delhi, India) - November 1,

Response from the GBC of New Delhi By His Holiness Gopal Krishna Goswami As a GBC man I have instructed the Delhi temple to
follow the GBC laws. To the best of my knowledge they are, but it is quite
possible that occasionally someone may forget to follow the law strictly.
I have been very severe on this point with the devotees and if at all
there ever is a lapse, it is not due to my fault, but due to the
particular devotee forgetting the guideline. © CHAKRA 11-Oct-1999 The heart of the New Delhi controversy By Bhaktavatsala dasa (New Zealand) Having read about the issue concerning the defiance
of the New Delhi temple to comply to the GBC standards for dealings with
ISKCON guru’s etc., I am convinced that the heart of the issue is one of
respect. As the GBC is largely made up of ISKCON guru’s, is it
surprising that they would be concerned with their own treatment? I raise
this point only because these are questions, which naturally go through

Delhi temple, in direct contravention of ISKCON Law, despite claims by the

99) after Gaura Arotik around 7:50 pm, when there is no arati going
on, but the pujaris were simply accepting offerings from visitors and
returning them prasadam, I noticed on Sri Sri Sita Ram Lakshman Hanuman
altar a photo of His Holiness Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaja on same level
and of same size right of Srila Prabhupada. I don’t know the pujari’s

(Bhaktivedanta Manor, UK) - October 1, 1999: The head pujari [priest] and coordinator of
Srila Prabhupada’s Centennial celebrations in New Delhi denies that
photos of Gopal Krishna Goswami are kept on the altar either during arati
or at any other time. He was replying to allegations that ISKCON New Delhi
was not following ISKCON law regarding the photos. Despite the claims of Vraj Bhakti Vilas dasa,
however, another CHAKRA informer has reported that a picture of Gopal
Krsna Maharaja was sitting on the altar even though there was no arati
going on as recently as last March. © CHAKRA 1st-Oct-1999 Follow the GBC and drop the Pada Titles By Pancha Tattva dasa The grand-disciples shouldn’t think that their
initiating gurus are being knocked down a peg or two. Rather, they should
recognize that reserving the ultra-honorific ‘pada’ title for His
Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada is a fitting
acknowledgment of his unique status as Founder Acharya and perpetual param
